UDA uses media and social platforms to celebrate players, promote academy programs, share updates, support recruitment, and communicate with the wider UDA community.
This policy explains expectations for player social media conduct and how UDA may use photos, videos, interviews, testimonials, player stories, match footage, training footage, and other media connected to UDA Soccer Academy programs.
This policy applies across UDA academies and programs, including training, matches, fitness activities, travel, tours, housing, events, partner university activities, partner club activities, recruitment activities, and other UDA-related activities.

Social Media Conduct
Players are expected to use social media responsibly and respectfully.
This includes posts, comments, messages, photos, videos, stories, reposts, likes, shares, and other online activity connected to:
Players must not post or share content that is abusive, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, misleading, inappropriate, confidential, or damaging to UDA, teammates, coaches, staff, partners, families, or the wider academy community.

Players must not share confidential or private information about:

Photos & Videos Taken by Players
Players may not record or share photos or videos from private team spaces, meetings, medical or physio settings, changing areas, housing spaces, transportation, or other restricted areas without permission.
Players must respect the privacy, comfort, safety, and dignity of teammates, staff, coaches, and others when taking or sharing photos or videos.

UDA Media Use
UDA may take, collect, or use photos, videos, interviews, testimonials, player stories, match footage, training footage, recruitment footage, event footage, and other media during UDA-related activities.

Player Name, Image & Program Information
Where media consent is provided, UDA may use a player’s name, image, likeness, voice, team, academy, graduation year, position, general program information, photos, videos, interviews, testimonials, and related content in connection with UDA media and promotional materials.

Media consent allows UDA to use approved photos, videos, interviews, testimonials, player stories, match footage, training footage, recruitment footage, and related content for academy communication, recruitment, promotion, social media, website, presentation, and program purposes.

Removal Requests
If a player or parent/guardian wishes to request removal of a specific photo, video, or piece of content, they may contact UDA.
UDA will review the request and take reasonable steps where appropriate. Some materials may not be removable if they have already been printed, distributed, shared by third parties, archived, used in completed materials, or published through platforms not controlled by UDA.

Social Media Violations
A violation of this policy may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
- A request to remove content
- A meeting with UDA staff
- Parent/guardian communication, where applicable
- Loss of privileges
- Suspension from team activities
- Removal from travel, events, or media opportunities
- Removal from the program
- Other action deemed appropriate by UDA
Player Acknowledgement
By signing the annual UDA Player Agreements & Consents in UDA Connect, I acknowledge that:
- I have read and understand the UDA Media, Photo, Video & Social Media Policy.
- I agree to use social media responsibly and respectfully.
- I understand that my online conduct may affect my standing in the program.
- I understand that UDA may request removal of inappropriate, private, harmful, or unauthorized content.
- I consent to UDA using my name, image, likeness, voice, photos, videos, interviews, testimonials, player stories, match footage, training footage, and related content for academy communication, promotion, recruitment, social media, website, presentations, and program materials.
Parent/Guardian Acknowledgement, Where Applicable
By signing the Parent/Guardian Annual Agreements & Responsibilities in UDA Connect, I acknowledge that:
- I have reviewed and understand the UDA Media, Photo, Video & Social Media Policy.
- I understand the expectations for respectful social media conduct connected to UDA.
- I agree to support the player in following this policy.
- Where I am legally authorized to do so, I consent to UDA using the player’s name, image, likeness, voice, photos, videos, interviews, testimonials, player stories, match footage, training footage, and related content for academy communication, promotion, recruitment, social media, website, presentations, and program materials.
