A Focused UDA Campus + Academy Experience

Experience soccer like never before on the UDA Chester Women’s Summer Tour! This week-long adventure blends elite training, competitive matches, academic opportunities, and cultural exploration in the picturesque city of Chester.

A traditional campus visit can show you buildings, classrooms, and facilities.
This tour goes further.


Students will train, compete, meet current players, connect with coaches, attend academic meetings, hear directly from university international offices, and experience the rhythm of life as a UDA student-athlete.

For families, it is a chance to see the support system, ask meaningful questions, and better understand what makes the UDA pathway different.

Who Can Attend?

This experience is open to:
  • Female student-athletes graduating in 2027
  • Players who have been ID-approved by UDA
  • Families seriously exploring the UDA university soccer pathway
  • Players interested in studying and playing soccer in England

One parent or guardian must attend with each student-athlete.


​Participation is by approval only so UDA can ensure the tour is a strong fit for the player, the family, the academic pathway, and the soccer program.

What’s Included

  • Transportation: Ground transportation throughout the tour, flights not included
  • Accommodation: 7-night stay in Chester and Manchester hotels
  • Meals: Daily breakfast and some team lunches/dinners
  • Training: Sessions with professional UDA coaches

  • Matches: Two competitive games against local teams

Sample Immersion Tour Itinerary*

Friday — Travel Day
Depart on overnight flights to Manchester, England.
Families who wish to arrive early and explore other parts of the UK, including London, are welcome to meet the group at our Chester hotel. Airport transfers from Manchester are included for all scheduled arrivals.

  • Arrive in Chester

  • Settle in / optional light walk and team stretch

Sunday, July 19 — Welcome + Team Bonding
  • Team breakfast
  • UDA session: Team bonding training or recovery based on travel
  • Explore Chester, guided or free time
  • Team dinner, Côte Brasserie or similar

Monday, July 20 — Training Day

Thursday, July 23 — Cultural Day + Recovery
  • Team breakfast

  • Cultural visit, North Wales / castle option, TBC

Friday, July 24 — S&C + Game 2
  • Team breakfast
  • Match analysis
  • Match prep session
  • Strength & conditioning session, UDA, or integrated into training block
  • Game 2 vs local opposition, TBC — could be Chester area before travel

Saturday, July 25 — Travel Day, Chester → Manchester

Abbey is a former NCAA Division I student-athlete with extensive collegiate coaching experience, having served as both an assistant and head coach. She holds a USSF B License and is a five-time Head Coach of the Year recipient, bringing over 15 years of experience across collegiate and elite club environments.

​Abbey joins UDA with a proven track record in identifying and recruiting high-level talent and will play a key role in guiding prospective student-athletes through the recruitment process, with a primary focus on supporting women’s pathway opportunities within UDA academy programs.
